jerseypug 1 Posted September 8, 2008 just fitted a gti6 engine into my 205 xs. wired up the lambada, pin 14 of the relay, starter and fuel pump. the fuel pump primes but does not come on when the engine is cranking over and there is no spark. i have looked at other threads on here and seen that there is a brown wire (bb1) as a permanent live to the ecu but i do not have one on my loom. i think my engine is a 1997. without the ecu plugged in, the fuel pump will not prime. my numbers on the wires look different to others posted up on here. the wires connected are gti6 xs (gti loom) 100 starter to wire 46 120 fuel pump to wire 76 m444 earth cc1 (pin 14) switched live to wire 2 123 (lambda) switched live to wire 2 i have not connected any other wires up as ther are temp and warning lights etc am i missing something here? any help would be appreciated
oli-pug 6 2 Cars Posted September 8, 2008 Is your ecu definitely an unlocked one? I've had the exact same issues as you for a while, tried another ecu today and it fired up first time!

welshpug 1,657 Posted September 17, 2008 without the ecu plugged in, the fuel pump will not prime. that's correct, its the ECU that controls the fuel pump via the double relay.
