stef205 92 1 Cars Posted September 7, 2008 hi all, my 205 1.9 has a oil leak, it is dripping from the rear end mount. Recently i have replaced the oil pump with a modified spring, crankshaft oil seal, and head gasket. i cant seem to see where it is coming from the oil pressure in the morning is at 8 bar, when the oil temp is at the second bar its a 6 bar when above 2,000 rpm. Do i have to much pressure causing it to come out the crank seal? thanks stefan

Could be sump gasket, seal between the alloy spacer plate between sump/block,or the alloy end cover that the crank seal is pushed into. Just have to de-grease the whole area and power wash, then run it and watch for signs of oil.
stef205 92 1 Cars Posted September 8, 2008 could it be the dipstick tube because mine does float in the wind as the bracket has snapped maybe the washers on the end?
CosKev 16 Posted September 8, 2008 Not sure, but wouldn't think so Where the dip stick tube goes into block is high up on the block,so not much oil up there. The tube is just an interference fit into block.
stef205 92 1 Cars Posted September 11, 2008 the oil trail in coming from the hulkhead side of the rear mount not the sump side?
CosKev 16 Posted September 12, 2008 the oil trail in coming from the hulkhead side of the rear mount not the sump side? How high up the engine,if its as high up as the cambelt tensioner or head it could be the camshaft seal
stef205 92 1 Cars Posted September 13, 2008 yes it looks like its running down the cambelt side, i will try a cam seal thanks
