24seven 104 Posted September 6, 2008 Someone suggested I try using some bigger injectors in my 306 as a temporary cure to its underfuelling after some recent modifications. As my Mi16 is currently off the road, can I use the injectors out of it in my 306? Is there a standard size of injector that's commonly to all petrol cars? Or are they all different? Also, I've read about the impedance of injectors being important, does anyone know if these injectors have the same impedance? Cheers.
Tom Fenton 1,542 Posted September 7, 2008 I would have thought they would be the same impedance. However easy way to check is to use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the coils, e.g. unplug the injector and test resistance across the two pins. This can even be done without removing them. Sandy 191 Posted September 7, 2008 The XU7J4 injectors are about 180cc @3 bar.
