New Resistor Card For Heater Fan

Ive had an intermitent heater fan since Ive had the car, now it doesnt work at all.

 

Ive just put 12v directly on the fan itself and it fired up fine, so im looking at the resistor card (? agree? )

 

Where sells the resistor cards new? GSF dont seem to unless im missing something. I dont really want a seccy hand one.

Not always as my fan works so changed the card for a known good one and it still dont work

 

Maybe its the dials them selves but i not looking forward to the cables at the back of them

I bit the bullet and got mine from the main dealer.... Its about 50 quid

I've not tried one but there is someone on ebay called "Amtex" selling new cards £19.50 + 2.50 P&P

 

just type 205 & heater in the search and you'll find it

Had mine from Pugspares.co.uk , about 25quid delivered the next day

Take the "card" (rheostat) out, and check that all the tracks are connected - you'll probably find one is split. You can them use some of that metal paint you get for rear windows which will re-join the track.

There's something in the back of my head that tells me that 'amtex' is actually GSF! I'll do a wee scan through my past ebaying.
