Headbolt Sizes

Recommended Posts

driversdomainuk

Hi,

I am trying to get some head bolts for my Mi16 engine. The current ones are 175mm in length with screw thread intermitted through the shaft. I have been delivered some 110 x M12 ones and the factors say these are the normal ones…

What are the normal spec for head bolts and why are mine like this and who is right..?

Thanks

I take it you have an alloy block Mi16 not iron.

I think that be the problem, Alloy blocks use M11 IIRC.

Edit, yep!

0204 57 CYL HEAD BOLT M11 X 1.50 - 175mm

sounds like you have been supplied a set of 0204 A0

With motor factors I've generally found it best to ask for parts for a Citroen BX 16V instead of the Mi16. They never used the 2.0 in the BX, so there's nothing for them to get confused with.
