soap.mactavish 0 Posted September 2, 2008 just got my new gti6 engine box and ecu ready for the big swap. but the bloke I got it off was thinking I wanted it for a 306 not a 205 so all i`ve only got the 4 digit pin needed to unlock it. So what can I do?? can I plug it into a 306 with a pin pad to unlock it, then un plug it with the ignition on. or send it off for £***`s to get it sorted Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Alastairh 47 Posted September 2, 2008 (edited) You need the code. Plug the ecu into a keypad 306 GTI'6, type the code in, start the car up (or power up), disconnect the ecu and job done. The Keypad and ECU aren't matching pairs. Alternatively, buy a pot of KY Jelly and phone the ECu Doctor etc...
