Also if i just want to replace the pump with a newer one what peugeots / citroens could i get one off down the scrappy? Cheers Chaps! Matt.
welshpug 1,661 Posted September 1, 2008 what's wrong with your oil pump??
matt-k 0 Posted September 1, 2008 Pressure seems to drop off randomly, im getting a mechanical pressure gauge to check that first but the original head i took off this engine before i rebuilt it had alot of wear around the oil ways which circle the hydraulic lifters, which got me concerned. Anthony 1,003 Posted September 2, 2008 Just about any XU10 pump will suffice in place of a GTi-6 pump - they're not quite identical, but the net result is the same.
SPGTi 2 Posted September 2, 2008 or I have an oil pump here that has been cleaned, new 6 bar spring (Mi and 1.9 8v have 5bar spring)and a new release valve. Search on ebay and the same is for sale at £50 exchange and is invariably referred to as a grp N or A oil pump. Yours for £25 +p+p. Steve
Mandic 0 Posted September 3, 2008 I'd go for 2.1TD one, which is basically the same as T16's. Cheers Ziga
