Will A Rear Beam Fit In My Boot?

Recommended Posts

bluespanner

I'm picking up a beam for my 205 tomorrow and I've just had a horrible thought that it isnt going to go in.

Anybody had a back axle in their 205?

Cheers

Roly

Hello Bluespanner,

I have previously been reliably informed that anything that fits on a 205 fits in a 205!!

Brill, thanks guys. Just got to remove the sub, empty the boot of clothes, tools, Land Rover parts, and other shiz, and find out how to fold the seats down.

Cheers all :D

I got 7 or 8 in the back of a citroen xantia once, the brakes could barely stop it and the pads were down to metal on metal by the end of the journey! :D

Make sure you pad the boot floor etc. I went over a bump causing the beam to jump and thud the floor. Put a nice dent in the floor right by the spare wheel bolt.

Cover you rear quater cards.

Once you start chucking beams in 205s they get battered VERY quickly!

Itll fit fine but, as people have said, make sure it's well fixed down and padded. Once it starts moving, if you swerve or brake suddenly, there aint much stopping it!
