Stu 18 Posted August 29, 2008 Howdy all, I noticed a lot of people use the 106 filter to get rid of the stupidly big banjo'd affair that is currently on the 205, but i noticed when i serviced our kids GTI-6 that the fuel filter was nice and small, and has tails just like the 106 item. Has anyone used the GTI-6 one? Why do you prefer the 106? IT might even be the same part for all i know! I just figured the '6 one would defo be upto the job given that they're 167hp as stock. Cameron 16 Posted August 29, 2008 I use a 6 one on mine and it works just fine. Its far less bulky, easier to fit and also slips nicely next to the cambelt cover.

ablister 31 Posted August 29, 2008 it's the same filter. The 106 one is exactly the same as the gti6 one, it even fits the 406 coupe v6...
Richie-Van-GTi 74 2 Cars Posted August 30, 2008 I use a vaux gsi one as well. Nice neat small item and cheap as chips.
Sandy 191 Posted August 31, 2008 I've seen the same filter working happily in a 290bhp single seater!
