Painting Prices? Bonnet And Tailgate?

Recommended Posts

Fox

Its been a while, well, a few years since I've had anything painted professionally.

I'd do it my self but I'm struggling to find paint.

How much, roughly of course, should I be paying to get my bonnet and tailgate resprayed?

I'll do all the stripping down etc, and remove them from the car so it will just be prep and paint.

What do you think?

I'm getting my tailgate done by a top notch professional sprayer, he is charging me £350. That includes stripping and smoothing the rear wiper etc...and also using a machine (cant remember what its called) to match the paint colour.

I've recently paid £100 for a bonnet and £100 for the front wings to be sprayed alpine white. The guy was recommended to me by a mutual friend, so not sure if these were 'special' prices.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the results, but having not seen many resprays, I can't really compare to a 'high end' job.

i paid £70 and £80 for my boot to be resprayed twice by 2 seperate people.

Both jobs were a bit s*it tbh but i think thats more to do with the quality of the sprayers as opposed to the price charged as i'ts really not that hard or time intensive!
