2052006 10 Posted August 28, 2008 Looks like I'm going to have to change my steering rack. Whilst doing so I thought I may as well replace the TRs and TREs. Are the ones from the likes of GSF ok to use or is it a case of they're rubbish and I need to use genuine Pug ones (as is the case with wishbone bushes as I understand it). Many thanks. Anthony 1,003 Posted August 28, 2008 Dunno about the trackrods, but I've used GSF TRE's on a few 205's and never had any issue. The TRE's on my 205 are GSF ones and have been on there for about 45-50k miles now, and whilst they're not as tight feeling as they once were, they're fine in use and there's certainly no play/slop in them. welshpug 1,657 Posted August 28, 2008 not had any problems with them at all seem pretty good quality and come with the locknut which I know a lot of cheap stuff doesnt. ECP do Lemforder stuff, which again is good quality, though you will have to request that brand, otherwise you get whatever is on the shelf.
James_R 3 Posted August 28, 2008 Another thumbs up on GSF TRE's not use the TR's though, no problems with plenty of kerb (on track) abuse still going strong.
