mercury 0 Posted August 25, 2008 Dont want to risk damaging it but i cant seem to find any visible push clips. Its the cable that connects the ignition amp to the other wire that connects to the distributor (pics attached) Merc
mercury 0 Posted August 25, 2008 nm guys got it out safely. It is a metal clip that u need to take out with a flathead screwdriver, like take it out completely.. then u can remove the plug easily. Reattaching it is the same of course, first connect it then wrap the metal clip around the surround to clip it in place. Cheers, Merc
GLPoomobile 958 Posted August 25, 2008 I hate these clips with a passion Which is why I am doing away with every one of them on the new loom I'm making, and using Junior Power Timer connectors instead. The clip on them is raised and sprung, so you just compress it with thumb and finger and the connectors come apart. Quick and easy

mercury 0 Posted August 25, 2008 To many fingers have nearly been cut off trying to get the clip out lol try using a flathead screw driver or something small enough to get in between te plug and that metal bit. Im not a savvy mechanic and i would usually have trouble taking this off but after biting my toungue and just going for it, i found it wasnt one of the harder ones i came across. I.E taking an aftermarket gearknob out with a grub screw lodged in between it lol. Took a lot of WD-40 and a whole lot of PULLING.
