Are All Spark Plug Wires Universal Or Specific For Each Make And Model

are all spark plug wires universal or specific for each make and model?

HT leads are universal in terms of what they do, however they come in various lengths and thicknesses, i use 8mm HT's. most places that sell them will have a little book saying what lengths to buy etc.

ah sweet so as long as i get 8mm HT Leads it should fit the 205 gti 1.9 (series 1)? Im asking because they have all cars in that book but Peugeot. Typical. Racist against french cars lol.

The end of HT lead from the coil to the distributor differs coil end from 1990 onward due coil being a totally different design. Just be aware to get the right one if you need this lead too.

which means u need a special HT lead? I thought they were universal?

 

Anyways mine is 1988 so i guess i shouldnt have a problem?
