Would This Fit A Peugeot Turbo?

before my engine goes in im ganna rebuild the turbo, but need to know wots best to do, is it easy to change the bearing and seal kits, or is it worth getting it done from a turbo place, well seen this just woundering if this would fit. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GARRETT-TURBO-T25-CE...id=p3286.c0.m14

does anyone know? or wot sort off price does it cost to get new seals and bearing put in my turbo, unless anyone has 1 for sale, for a 2.0l 8v turbo engine, thanks

I dont know the specific answers to your question, but I do know that there are a few places that will take your turbo on an exchange basis for a recon/new turbo.

Looking at approx £300 to get your turbo reconned and balanced. Places like Garett etc can do it. Not many options for swapping turbos on the XU10J2TE manifold as it is pretty bespoke. Second hand turbos are often buggered too. New ones for that manifold from Peugeot are £1100 + VAT. Hope this helps.

Ive just recently got an exchange item from turbo-technics, BUT, they have made me a hybrid still using the TB25 exhaust flange. This may be another option for you, as the hybrid item holds boost a lot better than the standard one which used to 'tail-off' at higher revs.

ive also heard about these tt manifolds are good but is it alot off hassel and does anyone know how much they are?

Im afraid the hybrid turbo was £600+! but it still fits the stock manifold. I think thee TT one's are around £250?

go and do a bit more research before buying random bits of ebay in the hope they'll fit.

 

try picking up the phone and speak to an expert: AET, Turbo Technics, Turbo Dynamics are three companies, who will be able to tell you what can work with your existing turbo and what is possible.

 

you won't find many people on here who will be able to look at a random CHRA on ebay and tell you if it will fit your existing housings.

will do, its just i tought a t25 turbo is a t25 turbo or do they come in different sizes and stuff.
