ok apprently

"its the carbon cannister hose,it goes under the chassis rail and into the left gaurd to a black cannister, there should be another hose from the fuel tank also.make sure both are not cracked as the motor can draw air in and lean off the. mixture."

Anyone got a pic of what he is refering to?

Total noob here.

EDIT: also any ideas why UK spec 205s wouldnt get this hose? Coz im wondering if i can just block this hole off and totallyremove that hose altogether. Would that work or will i have problems?

Its some sort of emissions control bollocks as far as I can tell, I can see no reason why you can't block it off, try doing so and see what happens.

is it this hose that its supposed to attach to?

and would it be ok to block this hose off?

I believe it is part of the emissions control and if i do block that then will i have to take out the other hose that is coming from the fuel rail and block it off too?

I would say so. Looks like the carbon canister to the left of the pic (Similar to the one on my GTI).

u reckon it would be ok to block that hose off?

Someone said if u block it off it may get fuel build up in the hose and it may start venting a vapour and kaboom!

what does that mean? The fuel buildup can get sucked intot he engine somehow and "kaboom" the engine?

lol

:D sorry noob here.

so what about your AMF to throttle body hose? Did you just seal that grommet up? Like seal the hole up?

(pics attached)
