Speedo Reads Too High

Recommended Posts

I fitted a s16 gearbox a while back and i think i fitted the top part of speedo/cable drive from old box(s16 box didnt come with one). What do i need to do to get the speedo to be accurate as its currently reading about 10mph too high at 70mph?

you have to mactch the drive gear that sits inside diff housing with the pick up gear and sensor

there are two different ratio's

it will work for a certain amount of time until the gears wear/brake (because of the different ratios.

with the different ratios it will effect the speed on your clocks

my friend has does the same in his rally car.

swopt both drive gear it worked and showed the correct speed

hope this helps
