Longun 1 Posted August 21, 2008 Ok I’ve tried a search but not found anything. My issue is when lifting off the throttle there is a delay before it starts to gear brake. The best way of explaining it is, when I lift the car acts like the throttle is still slightly open, its not accelerating its just not slowing down, then a few seconds later you feel it close and start to slow down. This is most noticeable when going down hills and wanting to gear brake. It could also explain why I'm getting terrible MPG (just under 20mpg). So far I've replaced the Engine temp sensor, AFM, whole throttle body (new one has no play and springs closed instantly when released), Throttle position switch (click can be heard when throttle is opened/closed). I've checked for air leaks everywhere and can't find any. Car idles fine however if revved it sometimes takes a bit longer than normal for it to drop back down to 800/900 MI is running its original managment. I'm not sure what to change next, help please? Ethos 0 Posted August 22, 2008 Hmm, sure it's OUT to make it leaner? I just had a play with mine, screwed it out 2 times left for a minute.. not difference then 1 more time... not difference!
