Recommended Posts

Hello my xsi is a pain in the a**s

To i was going round a round about and i started to get this knocking and a pull on the wheel

happened all the way home,

Got home me and a friend discided to have a look ... started off rolling backwards and forwards when it happened you could see both wheels knocking and it started again,

Had a further look the passener side cv boot is knackered

im thinking about changeing this but dont want the hassel if it could be gearbox and drive shaft

Please help what do you lot think it could be, just the cv boot or shaft g/box ?

Thanks Johnny

it'll be the CV itself (not the boot) if it's actually knocking. probably the hub end, that's the more vulnerable end that tends to go first. Either way it'll need replacement, but it's not a big job, although you'll need to drain and replace the gearbox oil if you take the shaft out.
