smokey 0 Posted August 19, 2008 Hiya Guys I put my front wings on this weekend (haven't sealed them yet) and i was wondering how they should sit? The lines on the wings match those on the doors etc so i think i'm good. But when i look front on to the car the bonnet seems to be lower than the wings. Is this correct? Or should the bonnet be in line with the wings. (I'm talking about the part of the bonnet which sits above the front headlights) I dont have the slam panel attached as i needed to replace the front panels so that might be why. But thought i would ask. Thanks
Paintguy 0 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) I dont have the slam panel attached as i needed to replace the front panels so that might be why. That could be your problem. There are some rubber buffers on the underside of the bonnet which rest either on the slam panel, or just next to it, holding it at the correct height. The Catch and striker mechanism also helps to define the height of the bonnet, so I wouldn't worry until it's all fitted back together.
