nick 3 Posted August 18, 2008 (edited) Does it matter where abouts in the brake line the compensators go? as in, can they be in the engine bay near the master cylinder or do they have to be towards the rear near the caliper? I'm assuming it doesn't matter but would like some opinions. Cheers, Nick p.s. I promise to use a torque wrench... Edited August 18, 2008 by nick
Pugnut 9 1 Cars Posted August 18, 2008 If its the 1.9gti compensators then go for it . the same compensators are mounted vertically in the engine bay of a 309gti , just make sure you have 2 identical ones (same letter stamped on the side). there are 2 identical parts that operate at different pressures. nick 3 Posted August 19, 2008 Thanks Pugnut, yes they are 1.9 ones (should have said really) someone has changed the brake lines on mine and not put them back in!! Wondered why it kept locking up on the back!! Cheers, Nick
