timmsy19 3 Posted August 18, 2008 (edited) hi all. got an issue with my RH rear brake. took it in for MOT last thursday and failed on rear brake little or no force. on saturday managed to take all the caliper off and clean down and have a general grease up and put back together and re bled them to it to a brake tester today to have checked before re-mot and still the same issue. the thing is the handbrake still works as it should and its only that side thats failing. could this be a dodgy compensator or brake regulator? Edit: forgot to add. its had new disks and pads, also checked the pistons and they go in/out fine Edited August 18, 2008 by timmsy19
Pugnut 9 1 Cars Posted August 18, 2008 had the same with a 309 . it was the compensator and although the caliper still bled, it was incredibly slow compared with the other side. did you notice poor bleeding on one side? I the piston adjusting properly on that side? I have never had this problem , but i believe rubber hoses can also collapse internally under pressure blocking the line. rare but possible. i assume its a 1.9?
