This piston was supposed to have been machined, what do you think?

Totally novice view - it appears to still have the casting marks across the crown - difficult to believe it has had any kind of machine work

i'm going to go out on a limb and say maybe. the flat bit looks bigger than usual and i don't recognise the stampings on it. they could refer to the amount of material removed?

could be wrong tho

I'm with Tom, Maybe as the edge's look larger than normal but the amount taken off wouldn;t make a huge differance, But the marking's are the only thing making me say no, Measure the total height of the piston.

are you meaning "is this a Turbo Tecnhnics piston?" as IIRC they were just standard 1.9 pistons machined for lower Compression?

The piston was one from the low compression 205 engine(DKZ)??. The smallest height is 54.7mm from top of piston to the bottom of the skirt on line with the gudgeon pin.
