applemobile 0 Posted August 16, 2008 I have all the main wires wired in. It cranks, got fuel, but no spark. Thinking back i dont think i have a crank position sencor wired in. This would give me no spark? Where exactly is this sencor. I read on here its on teh gearbox, I am using a 1.6 box, And teh only sencor i can find on teh box is for teh reverse light. Help in this matter would be appretiated as i am cold, wet and frustraited!
applemobile 0 Posted August 16, 2008 (edited) Eurgghhh loooking itno it....there may not be a hole for it then. Can i drill my own hole? is this advisable Edited August 16, 2008 by applemobile
welshpug 1,657 Posted August 16, 2008 you could but its not advisable as you have to be pretty accurate with it, not simply a case of just drilling a hole either, it has to be at the right position relative to TDC, and a set distance from the flywheel teeth. you need a box from late 88 on for it to have the TDC sensor drilling. applemobile 0 Posted August 16, 2008 thats not my best option i guess. ''Luggy'' from on here has offered me the casing of a 1.9 BE3 gearbox. so i guess thats my easiest/cheapest option.
