Gauges Not Working

well on the long list of things to do is to sort the 2 non working gauges out

 

not sure why they dont work does anyone have an sugestions?

There is nothing below the water temp gauge, the oil temp gauge is above it though.

 

The sender for the oil temp gauge is on the sump and the water temp gauge and warning light sender/switch are both on the thermostat housing. Check these are connected and if they are ground each wire in turn which should put the relevant gauge on full deflection or the relevant light on. BTW there isn't an oil temp warning light despite the appearance of the gauge.

sorry think thats what i meant :o

 

also while on the subject. anyone know what the normal oil presure should be reading wehn

 

a: idle

b: under load and

c: full chat

 

mine is half way when idling then when foot down it goes to about 3/4 then when pootling about its in between. does this sound normal?
