Still No Pedal

Recommended Posts

TRYNKEEPUP

Hi i had a problem with my brakes pedal feels very spongy and gos down to the floor, i have discs all round , 306 gti6 on front also a 306 master cylinder, i bleed brakes through to make sure there was no air in system, Pedal was still the same spongy and went to the floor. So thinking it may be master cylinder i swapped it for my standard 1.9 one which i know the condition of , just been out to garage to do this and have bleed system through. Pedal is exactly the same nothing, i recently changed all servo vacuum hoses so no leeks there ! Has any body else had this probem, or does anydody know what may be the problem. Before i throw my wallet at it.

Have you bled both front and rear brakes? Have you checked there are no fluid leaks anywhere? What rear brake limiting compensators do you have?

Standard compensator for a 1600 or twin ones for a 1900? Some more detail on the car would help really.

If it is the 1600 type compensator try bleeding the brakes with the car on the floor.
