Bakes100 20 1 Cars Posted August 12, 2008 Hi Guys , the speedo on my 205 gti6 over reads by around 15% which i believe is because it has the wrong gears in the speedo drive... Does anyone have the part numbers for the 205 Gti 1.6/1.9 speedo drive gears?? ... they should be red and white iirc. Thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted August 12, 2008 Same numbers for all 205's but getting the right mix for your gearbox is the main thing; 2643 04 TACHOMETR SCREW 19 DTS 2643 02 01 22DTS 2649 11 CONTROL PINION 17 DTS 2649 13 01 20 DTS 2649 18 01 21 DTS The ones I've got from a 1.6 GTi Be3 gearbox are red & white. welshpug 1,657 Posted August 12, 2008 Had a dig on servicebox, the large 22T one around the driveshaft is shown as being black on Miamistu's database. (2643 02) which is the same size (and part) as used on the S16 and gti6. the VSS that takes a cable could be a 19 or 17 toothed one if that came from a larger diesel/petrol engined 306 (2649 04 or 2649 11) cant find any distinction as to which part should be fitted.
