Jack

I posted in another topic about this, but it wasn't relevant to the title, so I thought i'd start one if that's okay as noone replied. I hope this isn't a stupid question as i'm really stumped..

I have heard that the cars that came with A/C had the jack underneath the driver/passenger seat???

Well..I don't understand because I tried to fit my jack underneath the seat(I havent welded a boss on yet so that isn't the problem) and the seat will not close/go down. The jack seems too big, and looks to me as if the carpet and underlay would have to come out for it to even have a chance of fitting. Can anyone tell me either why im such a idiot and what i'm doing wrong....or are some jacks smaller/bigger than others??

thanks

I'll confirm that on aircon models the jack goes under the passenger seat. I believe its not the common type of jack either so you may well have the wrong one.
