kyepan 291 Posted August 11, 2008 A quick thanks to dave at maniflow for supplying a backbox in such short time, and then the adapter to make it fit (gave him wrong dimensions) in even less time... ( ordered 11am thursday sent 3pm thursday-arrived 9am friday).. Basically my maniflow has been blowing at various points for a while, and it's been making my shed sound like a shed too... also its too noisy to boot it about without attracting unwanted attention... So the old backbox was rotted at the entry to the silencer, also the compression gasket after the manifold had fallen to pieces, and it was blowing again... again... bloody thing. Daves advice - use paste on the joins, and thread lock on the down pipe to central section join. Some swearing later and a bit of butchery of various bits, one quiet by comparison exhaust, also the mid range is stronger, and it's willing to rev out a bit more, and quieter on full chat.. so anyone else with a maniflow got it running as they want it, as it's taken me for ever to get it working nicely, now i'm pleased, so is my girlfiend who now doesn't mind driving it too much at all.
