MrG 3 Posted August 9, 2008 Now my carbs are on, I'm going to replace the dist cap/ rotor arm and plugs plus leads on the 1.9. Pugspares are doing an offer for the cap and arm for £27. Its a Bosch item. Is this too much? Plugs, can I get a bosch equivalent or are others running a specific type? Finally leads. I was just going to get a good set of std leads, any recommendations at all. Thanks Andy
Tom Fenton 1,542 Posted August 9, 2008 Sounds a lot to me, I bought a cap and arm for £12 from the factors the other day.
MrG 3 Posted August 9, 2008 thats what I thought as I've seen them cheaper elsewhere, but admittadley they weren't bosch.
Tom Fenton 1,542 Posted August 9, 2008 For something electronic such as an ign module, then I'd want the genuine spec stuff, but for a dizzy cap and rotor arm that are effectively a service part then I'm happy with the pattern stuff, certainly I've fitted it to the car and had no ill effects. Miles 331 1 Cars Posted August 9, 2008 As Tom's said, Most of Pug Spares stuff comes from GSF etc so they just add there ££ on, I have founf unipart very good for OE items bar the box
