mang 3 Posted August 8, 2008 Im new to this site i hope this is a worthy question Iv got a 1.9 205 with carbs and iv been lookin at puttin a supercharger on it but im having second thoughts about it because i think fueling will be a problem when its on boost. I dont want to take the carbs off because i like them to much but gettin them to put more fuel in when it needs it is goin to be a pain does anyone have an idea to get over the problem or would it just not work? saveloy 8 Posted August 8, 2008 It would simply be in arse to do. Boost pressure in the carbs, sealing, etc. If you want to go the s/charger route, then ditch the carbs and go injection. It will be far easier and a much better set up.
Rom 0 Posted August 9, 2008 Dell'Orto did do a version of carbs that could take turbo / supercharger pressure. There not cheap or easy to find. I cant remember the boost they can take. But standard carbs will most likely struggle. As they wont have rubber seals etc. But yeah..injection would be much easier

cyman 1 1 Cars Posted August 27, 2008 the only way you could do it would be to enclose the webber carbs in a air tight box and the feed the forced air from the supercharger/turbo in to it. also make a service hatch to change jetting and stuff.
