Colour Of Injectors

hi guys im having problems with missing on my 1.9 at the moment, plugs etc have all been replaced and its still doing it ive been told to have a look for new injectors but have been told there is a difference and u tell by the color on the top, i have got blue ones and have seen a set of yellow are these better than what i have got?

Blues are probably from a 1.6. However don't just fit yellows, look at your airflow meter and ECU to find the part numbers then find out if they are from a 1.6 or a 1.9 as you need to match those three components (i.e. the airflow meter, injectors AND ECU must all be from a 1.6 OR a 1.9)

would it make a difference if the previous owner has put 1.6 injectors into it by mistake as its a 1.9!

It should run OK on 1.6 injectors but like I said above only if you have the 1.6 AFM and ECU too.

i managed to buy the full head off a 1.9 for 40 pound which included the 1.9 yellow injectors so swapped them over and now my car runs like a dream i cant believe someone put the 1.6 ones in there! i got to laugh the person i bought it off replaced everything else to get rid of the missing except for checking to see if they where the right injectors lol

Are all yellow ones the same, or are 8 valves different to the mi16? I've got some spares from a 405 8 valve, and my mi16 ones are pretty nasty

id take the 405 ones out and compare them, if they look very similar then try them in the worse it can do is just miss like hell.
