Standard Bhp Figures

i'm sure it must be on here somewhere but i can't find it. Can someone draw me to the attention of the standard bhp figures for 205 gti's as they came out of the factory?

A friend of mine was suggesting that early 1.9 205's came with less than 130bhp and while i know the bhp reduced in later years i thought it was only the 1.6's that started with 105bhp or something then increased to 115bhp.

Cheers.

128 rings a bell, but 130 is the more commonly quoted. then 122 for Cat equipped cars.

1.6's. as you say, early cars were 105, later 115

105 bhp for the low compression 1.9 in the CTi and auto's IIRC.

and as Baz said 128 for the 1.9 until they had a cat which were 122 bhp.

So there is a possibility of my mate having a 1.9 105bhp engine although it would have to be a swap from a CTI or auto or it was an auto gti and the box has been replaced for a manual?

entirely possible, more likely that its just not very healthy if its a bit slow.
