Not Starting Well From Warm

Guys,

 

Can any of you help me please? Got a 1.6 GTI on the G plate and she doesnt like starting from warm. It takes a while for her to get going. Any suggestions.

what kinda MPG are you getting and is it ok once started?

Not sure about the MPG but once she is started she is fine, its just getting her started

Its about normal mpg i suggested the coolant temp sensor but that would normally mean running rich, did she get home on that half a tank babe.

She was down to 1/4 of a tank but a heavy right foot did come into play at some points.

Does it restart quickly if you last ran the engine say 15 minutes ago?

I had problems with mine starting when warm a while back and it was the ignition amp.

i have the same problem.

 

Sometimes i would turn it of wait a few mins - maybe 15mins then when i try to start it she doesnt turn over. The starter motor is strong.

 

and what is an ignition amp and are they expensive?

Check the injectors aren't leaking. Mine were, so I changed the injectors and now she starts instantly.

Just got a rough guess from my parts managers at about £80/90!! I wasnt expecting it to be that much!!!
