2052006 10 Posted August 2, 2008 I'm fed up with having to take off the induction trunking for the standard air box when working on the car. The airbox is falling apart as well and has reached the limits of my bodging attempts and the paper filter is overdue a change, so I thought I may as well do the induction shortener thing with a cone behind the headlight. My questions are: are the cheap cones on ebay (12 quid ish) any good? has anybody managed to fit a 150mm (ish) diameter cone in there - it would appear to be a very tight fit? I know the K&N et al can be had in smaller sizes but they're 3-4 times the price! Cheers Pete
miamichris 9 Posted August 3, 2008 never used those cheap induction cones on ebay myself, but i can tell you that I managed to get a brand new genuine K&N filter a while back including the little adaptor, cold feed hose, bracket etc for about 15 quid posted on ebay! just keep searching and try different searchwords mates and you should find one on there
Ryan 99 Posted August 3, 2008 Many of the cheap ones may as well be made out of bathroom sponges for how good they are at filtering.
