Tom Fenton 1,542 Posted August 1, 2008 The 2.0 Mi16 has coilpacks and hence no rotor arm. I'd say it sounds like a classic case of a coilpack u/s. However check the plug on the cylinder thats not firing, I've also seen in the past duff wiring to one injector hence no fuel to one cylinder do the same thing. If the plug is piss wet through then you know it is an ignition problem. I've got a 405 Haynes manual but I don't think it covers the Mi16 engine wiring unfortunately. welshpug 1,657 Posted August 1, 2008 if you want a manual that covers the management system get a Haynes Workshop manual for the ZX, the red one number 1881 if you haven't got 12v to the coilpack check the large multiplug on the side of the head. coilpack for No2 is fed from pin 12 of the round plug, if you haven't got 12v at the main loom side of the plug its likely to be a break in the wire as there is a single large cable from Pin 1 of the Relay, which splits into 4 before the round plug on the head

Am i right in saying cylinder no.2, its the second one away from the cambelt end
welshpug 1,657 Posted August 1, 2008 (edited) ahh no No1 on a pug is flywheel end pin 13 I think it will be for No3. Should be live to the coilpacks on the second turn (same as the injectors) I think Graham has a PDF of the ZX manual, the actual layout is pretty similar just different wire numbers/colours and position of the ECU and relays.
