AdamVester 0 Posted July 26, 2008 ok was driving it tonight and it just craped out (engine stalled). i went to start again and no such look. it has compreshion and im sure its sparking but havent yet checked. there is no noise from the fule pump in the rear when turning the key and trying to fire it up. i also took the fule hose's (both return and normal 1 at a time) and tryed turning over the engine one hose was preshurized and some fule come out second time around nothing not even a drop. my theory is the pump is screwed because i cant here it working and its not kicking out fule. the mi16 is running mi16 management (205 loom spliced with mi16 loom) and it has the 3-row ECU. been running fine for months untill now. i noticed within the last few weeks when comming upto junctions and dipping the clutch to change gear the engine has stalled but then i was able to start it again right away without fuss.. could this be a sign the pump was on the way out? or is it the pump could it be something else like a bad earth, rotor arm snaped etc, etc, oh all leads are fine and well fixed to plugs/dizzy coil lead is on fine and nothing seams to be in wrong place or out of place. thanks. daza4 24 Posted July 27, 2008 Be worth removing the pump and looking in pieces at it. We had a similar problem with one all the same symtoms. after swapping pumps I stripped it down and the pump was fine apart from the rubber neck at the top of the pump that joins the pump to the housing had split causing the pump to be spraying fuel out the top of the pump instead of pumping all the fuel through the lines. its worth a look Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

AdamVester 0 Posted July 27, 2008 solved there is a little black box with some replays in under the bonet from after the mi16 convershion. there was a 10amp fuse in the middle that was blown replaced it with a 15amp (its all i had) went to fire and buuuuuuuuur boooom pop duuuuuuuuuur duuuuuur fired.... lol cheers alll keep all these little tips in mind if it happens again.
