jord294 92 Posted July 26, 2008 I want to give it a shot changing the pads on my gfs 205 xs on the rear, does anybody have a guide as it all looks a complete nightmare. i believe you mean the shoes? from past experience, the hardest part was removing the drums over the old shoes. especially if the drums are worn and have a lip on them. you may find it much easier to remove them once they're off though, everything is pretty straight forward. the other tricky bit is pushing and twisting the locating washer over the peg which holds the brake shoe to the backing plate. but if you have a decent set of long nose pliers or the correct tool, jobs a doddle just remember to make sure you lube well all moving parts Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
