Recommended Posts

Ok its time to sort out these niggly bits on the 205.......I have no oil temp, level or coolent temp guage readings 90% of the time........whats first methods i should go through to solve the prob?............bearing in mind that im not entirely sure which/where the senders are in the engine bay :-) :)

Cheers guys

Brown multiplug under the distributor is the cause 90% of the time. The connectors corrode and stop conducting. You can either replace it with a new multiplug, or as I did, cut the plug off and solder the wires together.

brown man has had a bit of a clean and poked with checked wires and stuff. is there a earth for this area? seems it may be a faulty earth cos they flick a bit sometimes when stopping and starting the car (traffic lights etc...).

Hmm, check the earths on the gearbox stud and on the side panel next to the washer bottle.

Kenny it might be just clocks need to be changed, I had similar problem trying to deal with it in many ways but still nothing. I change clocks and everything start working perfectly showing correct reading. Now only rev counter need to be fixed and it's all sorted
