Garry 1 Posted July 20, 2008 As above really, I was cooking the brakes at Cadwell last week. Which is mainly down to the higher speeds generated from the charger. So as a quick remedy I was thinking about running some ducting. I am just after some feedback of whether it is work it. In principle it should work, but when you think about the draft generated by the wheel spinning and the flow of air under the car it may well add little benefit. Thoughts? The draft from the wheel spinning is more turbulance than flow though, so brake ducting should make a big difference. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

taylorspug 7 Posted July 20, 2008 I used to run alot of ducting on my old Vento cup car and it made a huge difference, i actually still had some sort of braking power at the end of a race! Garry 1 Posted July 21, 2008 Thanks for the replies. I am thinking about going for M1166's next, but I am concerned about their cold performance as the car is used on the road. The braking power was fine initially but as they got hotter they started to fade, which hasn't happened before, the M1155 were pretty much bomb proof before the charger. Tom Fenton 1,542 Posted July 21, 2008 Before the ducts I was using Ferodo DS2500 and starting to experience fade. After the ducts I can now get away with using Mintex 1144's with no fade. Not especially light 170bhp Mi16 205 with GTI6 brakes. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
