Electric Windows Conversion

Recommended Posts

Para

Unfortunately my base for S16 engine was from 1.6, and I didn't had electric windows fitted. Few days ago I bought second hand motors and new switches from Peugeot. I am going to do the conversion tomorrow but I want to be prepared, I was looking for a proper picture of the inside of the door on servicebox but I can't find any ?

Is there anything which I had to be prepared for ? What types and sizes of screws do I need ? Can somebody upload a picture of the inside door with electric motor fitted ???

Thanks in advance

It fits exactly like the manual mechanisms. Theres a couple of threads on here somewhere with good detailed instructions. If your car is a phase 2 1.6 then the wirng plugs straight in which is very handy.

Good to hear, mine it's phase 2 from 1991 so I should have less problems. I was trying to find threads but nothing precise showed up

OK job done, i manage to connect driver doors and it's working fine , but there is no connections in passanger door. I just fit the motor in and probably i will have to get some wires to connect

I had the same problem with my ph2 - no wiring in the passenger door.

If you can get a door loom then it will plug straight in, or you can make one (it's only five wires). The plug is a little awkward to reach though. It's hidden up inside the dash above the fusebox and towards the centre console.

all 3 of my previously owned 1991 1.6's had the correct wiring in both doors, i guess some didn't then!
