Where's The Engine Number Stamped On Gti-6 Engine?

Just updating my V5 with the new engine details but can't find the engine number anywhere.

 

Tried the gti-6 forum search engine and all they say is it's in a awkward place well wtf! That's no help at all is it lol

IIRC on a machined surface next to the oil filter, most likely to have rusted away though.

Indeed, along the lip above the sump flange on the front of the block.
