stutto 0 Posted July 16, 2008 As above, I've done a few searches but can't find part numbers or mention of rough prices for a new bearing to go in the lower engine mount. Help, please.
welshpug 1,657 Posted July 16, 2008 dealer or bearing supplier only check the condition of the rest of the shaft thoroughly before you go ahead though, in most cases where the bearing has gone there is quite a lot of play in the joints as well so an exchange shaft is more worthwhile. Thanks for the reply. I already have a spare driveshaft - I needed LHS quickly and ended up buying a pair secondhand.
JayCC 0 Posted July 19, 2008 I know you already got one but if anyone else is reading, the GKN ones from GSF are very good quality and are only £50. I've had mine on for 12 months with some very lairy driving, and they are still attached
stutto 0 Posted August 4, 2008 I'd probably go for a GSF driveshaft myself next time, bearing was nearly £19 +VAT from Peugeot and I ended up paying the local garage £15 to remove the old bearing and press the new one on.
