My fans on my 205 seem to come in realy late, is this right? Is there a different sensors to get them to come in earlier? Cheers

It'll depend on which thermo switch you have currently fitted  and yes , theres low or high temp. types  .. so you can buy one which will switch on the fans earlier ...

They are usually available in these temperature range :

87-77C (low)

95-85C (mid)

97-92C (high)

Rgs !

Is there a "better" one to use? Mid sounds best.

Is it the sensor that goes into the radiator? Mine has a blue connector is that a phase 1 or 2, thats if they are different?

I think mine has the mid as standard judging by the figures they cut in & out at but this still seems high on the dash guage.

The rad switch with the blue plug is the later (phase 2) type. The phase 1's were three seperate spade connectors on the back of the switch.

The fans dont seem to be kicking in, ive bridged the plug and the fans do work. Is there a way of check if my thermo switch is working like with the resistance or something? Is the thermo switch the likly cause?

AFAIK the only way to test the thermo switch will be by putting it into a pan of water & bringing it to the boil to check if you get no resistance between the middle & outer pins.
