welshpug 1,656 Posted July 10, 2008 never seen a 205 ever with Fixed roof bars Ger, detachable ones yes, but not fixed.
cybernck 402 1 Cars Posted July 10, 2008 yeah there's no place to attach the fixed ones really, like there is on newer cars. on 205, the front one clamps between the roof and doors and the rear ones are a bit deeper and clamp the rear quarter windows bodywork edge. Super Josh 4 Posted July 10, 2008 Why do you want pictures? You're not thinking of keeping them on your car as fashion accessories are you? Josh PS I use genuine Pug ones on mine, complete with cycle racks, so should be able to get you some at some stage.

So can they be left on permanently or are they designed to be removed after each trip? I figure if im going surfing 3 times a week then I could have a permanent one if they exist! Super Josh 4 Posted July 10, 2008 I'm a little unsure of your question. As said above they clamp over the edge of the roof, the front ones clamping onto the top of the door cutout and the rears clamping to the top of the rear window cutouts. They are held in place by turning a screw thread with a removable, cranked Allen key, this draws the clamps in towards the centre of the car and secures them in place. You can still use the car as normal with them in place, BUT, they could easily be removed by someone with a suitably sized Allen key, so not locked in place like the more modern ones on cars with integral roof bar mounting points. Depends on how much someone wants them, I suppose HTH, Josh
gerlewislewis 0 Posted July 10, 2008 oh right, I was under the impression the ones Fivos (Feb) was selling were 'fixed' I guess I may as well stick to my softrack for holidays, and the boot for weekdays!
