dirtdog 4 Posted July 10, 2008 i know i could probably buy heated seats..bolt them in and TRY wire them up...(im useless) but i'm wondering if there is ANYCHANCE what so ever, that i can prehaps buy the like..heating elements from somewhere...stuff them inside the 205 seats and away we go.i'd rather keep the standard seats but, if not i guess i'm changing them lol thanks

Ryan 99 Posted July 10, 2008 I've been making my own. You just need some thin wire that you can stitch into a pad, then play about with the wire length until you get the amount of heat you want.

daza4 24 Posted July 11, 2008 Sorry have no idea what they are like to wire up as they always fit ours for us. I am sure they come with all the instructions required. The guys that sell them fit them so they are only a phonecall away and they are very unusual to the point they are extremely helpful if you had a problem!!! Ryan 99 Posted July 14, 2008 There should be only two wires coming out of the seat. Test them a multimeter to make sure the heating wires aren't broken. Then hook them up to 12v and earth and make sure they heat up properly. There's a temp switch in the seat to stop the wires from burning out, and you should be able to hear it click on and off. If they're working properly then you just need to hook them up to the ignition with a switch (and a fuse for safety).
