GTI6BOY 29 Posted July 9, 2008 I thought it would be a good idea to have a list of all the Bucket seats that fit on standard/non standard runners? I have some cobras in my rallye which sends your bum numb in 20mins so would like to change them but i have got used to being able to move my seats as i share my car with my partner. Maybe a brief description about them ect. Make: Model: Description: Cobra Monaco Hug you very well but very un-comfortable while driving...would not recommend

GTI6BOY 29 Posted July 9, 2008 what do you mean? I want some new seats in my car but must be able to fit on 205 runners or runners that come with the seats. What have people got and what do they think of them?
welshpug 1,656 Posted July 9, 2008 what Jrod means is that everyone's Ass is different. I.E I rarely find any bucket seat uncomfortable, unless they are badly fitted/adjusted. most seats you will be able to fit onto runners, IIRC OMP and sparco both do ones to suit that will take a standard mount bucket seat. Tom Fenton 1,541 Posted July 9, 2008 The main problem putting aftermarket seats in a 205 is getting them low enough, I'm 6'2" and in the track car me and my mate cut the floor out to get rid of the hump in the tunnel and get the seats nice and low.
tom_m 0 Posted July 9, 2008 (edited) i have a pair of cobra imola s gt fit, i find them very comfortable, done germany and back with no complaints and my girlfriend manages to fall asleep in them! i too hate the fit of monacos. the side mounts line up perfectly with the oe 205 seat runners (though you might need to re-drill the holes on the side mounts, mine were supplied plain so i drilled to suit) that the sort of thing you were after? engine killer 6 Posted July 10, 2008 The main problem putting aftermarket seats in a 205 is getting them low enough, I'm 6'2" and in the track car me and my mate cut the floor out to get rid of the hump in the tunnel and get the seats nice and low. I have a pair of bucket installed (with 205 oe runner) but found that they are too tall even with the flip-over mechanism removed. I am only 5'9" but cannot sit in comfortably with helmet on. So I will later cut the exhaust tunnel as someone posted pics before to make the seats sit nice and low for more extra head room, by theory it will lower the CG too . GTI6BOY 29 Posted July 10, 2008 Cheers tom, thats just what i wanted to hear. I also like them seats but i need the fat boy size so the holes are way off
James_R 3 Posted July 10, 2008 Tom's are the fat boy size The normal width monaco need a plate making to bridge the 2" gap as they're narrower than the runners. It's my car that has the exhaust tunnetl boxed and the the seats about 1/2" off the floor, makes you look 12 when you drive it I've just swapped from sparco EVO's to corbeau Pro-Spo's and even though they're mounted the same I'm higher in the car now, only about 1/2" buts enough to notice, but much better support on these to the EVO's
