the car has suddenly been built since i last read through the topic! it looks stunning, although the wheels do look a tad odd against the white, maybe a white lip on the edge of the rims would help?

Right, quick update,

took the car out last Thursday for it's first drive, all went well, drove lovely and boosted nice. Very happy.

So i took the car out in the night for a spin, gave it a bit of welly and there was a big bang. not happy now.

so we stopped the car and got out and had a listen and there was now a rattling sound coming from the engine, so i took the car home.

had another listen in the morning and it sounded like it was coming from the turbo, so i had a feel of the compressor blade and it had a lot of play in it.

so i changed the turbo hoping it was that making the noise, but the noise was still there.

I then checked the timing, lifters, cam and all seemed fine. i know it's not the bottom end gone, it sounds like the noise is coming from the top so i think it's coming from the gugeon pin.

Anyway the decision has come to change the engine, the engine is nearly ready to be lifted out now, picking another engine up tommorrow for it.

hopefully back on the road for the weekend if all goes well, fingers crossed

Do you know why one piston was hitting the head in the first engine?

well i got 2 cars at the moment and can't really afford to run the two.

so with the money i get from the 205 i'm gonna get something newer, more reliable and with a bit of go.

just really don't know how i'm gonna get for it.
