JimLad 1 Posted July 7, 2008 Please move if this isn't the most appropriate section.... Just bought a pair of these second hand and even with the shoulder straps adjusted fully the straps aren't long enough to reach down to where the back seat used to be where I want to mount them. The guy swears blind he hasn't cut them and they should be plenty long enough. My question is can anyone tell me how long the shoulder straps should be when fully adjusted to their longest? Mine are about 50" at the absolute longest. Thanks
Baz 421 Posted July 7, 2008 (edited) Sounds like they're from a single seater? Should be plenty long enough for a 205 anyway. Edited July 7, 2008 by Baz
base-1 17 Posted July 8, 2008 Have you adjusted them to extend at both ends, near buckle and fixed end? If they are single seat/2 seat ones, what size buckle colour etc?
changingman 7 1 Cars Posted July 8, 2008 Ive got a set of these in one of my pugs,i wouldnt buy them again though. They reach the bit youre talking about but dont sit straight and always seem to be at an angle when done up despite hours of adjustment
JimLad 1 Posted July 8, 2008 Apparently they were in a Celica and attached to the floor where the back seat was. If this was the case then they should definitely be long enough. And yes, I have adjusted them at both ends! They are 4 point Clubmans 2" wide with a seat belt type release...... in red
JimLad 1 Posted July 8, 2008 Changingman, would you say your shoulder straps are more than 50" from the free end to the lap belt when fully adjusted? Would you mind having a look? Cheers
