Replacing Just One Rear Shock Ok?

Recommended Posts

munster

One of my rear koni shocks is leaking and needs replacing.

Is it ok (if i can get hold of one) to replace just the one shock, or should they be done in pairs? Im on a real tight budjet as i have just spunked all my money on the car.

I assume there are all sorts of different models of koni rear shocks aswell.. so that will complicate things.

I will try and see what exactly it says on the shock later. But maybe someone here has a spare koni they wanna sell?

thanks

no, very bad idea! just as bad as replacing brake friction parts on a single side

pretty sure Koni will rebuild them (may be confused with another aftermarket brands tho), so get both sent off and they'll come back as new.

Jolly decent of you. When you say 'not great' is there actually anything wrong with them?

cheers
