Will 206 Gti 180 Front Seats Fit In A 205?

Does anyone know if the front seats from a GTI 180 206 will fit into a 205? has it been done?

 

Im not overly worried about the subframes etc as im sure with a bit of welding that area would be fine, its more width clearence and height.

i've seen pics (on this forum) several years ago, so they fit .

 

they were sitting a bit high iirc, but they are really good seats (if a bit too heavy!).
